Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) calls for climate action with workers on the agenda at Trade Unions Pre-COP28 Synthesis Meeting
Dr. Salamatu Fada, representing the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), attended the Trade Unions Pre-COP28 Synthesis Meeting organized by the Nigerian Labour Congress and International Labour Organisation, themed: “A Demand for Climate Action with Workers on the Agenda.”
The meeting was a platform for trade unions to come together and develop a common agenda for the upcoming COP28 summit. Dr. Fada, in her remarks, stressed the importance of considering the impact of climate change on workers and ensuring that they are at the center of climate action.
The Trade Unions Pre-COP28 Synthesis Meeting was a successful event that brought together trade unions across Nigeria to develop a common agenda for climate action.
